BOLD COMMUNITY CHURCH
PILLARS
A Bible-Exalting Church
The Bible stands as the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and sufficient Word of God, serving unequivocally as our ultimate authority and guide. We are resolute in our commitment to faithful, expository preaching and equipping our members to effectively handle Scripture. It is our firm desire to be characterized by continual growth in understanding and the faithful application of God’s Word.(Matthew 4:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17).
A Maturing Church
Following Jesus demands a lifelong commitment to becoming more like Him. We will forsake sin, diligently practice spiritual disciplines, and actively pursue growth in spiritual wisdom and godliness. Our mission is to effectively minister to others and make disciples. We are firmly dedicated to achieving consistent growth toward Christlikeness and are committed to raising up the next generation of Jesus’ disciples. (Colossians 1:28).
A Shepherding Church
The Bible clearly defines church leaders as shepherds responsible for overseeing their local congregation. Elders hold a God-given authority to know, lead, feed, care for, correct, and protect the church members. Biblical elders smell like smoke because they are to battle the enemy's attacks upon the church.
A Unifying Church
The gospel is producing significant fruit across numerous churches and ministries in Owasso-Collinsville-Sperry-Skiatook-Tulsa and around the globe. We actively celebrate, collaborate, and pray for our fellow gospel-centric and Bible-believing churches and ministries. Our commitment to fostering peace and promoting the common good is unwavering. We are determined to be defined by our intense love for and encouragement of God’s broader Church. (Ephesians 4:1-6).
A Praying Church.
Prayer is an essential pathway to achieving greater intimacy with and enjoyment of God. Engaging in conversation with Him through prayer is how we worship, confess our sins, express gratitude, and seek His divine help and guidance. We are committed to cultivating a passionate devotion to prayer as a powerful means of connecting with God.
(Acts 1:14).
Praying for God's glory is the cornerstone of our worship and commitment. Together, we recognize that prayer is a vital dialogue that brings us closer to our Creator. In every conversation with Him, we seek to exalt His name, expressing our gratitude and adoration with conviction. We call upon the Holy Spirit to lead us in fervent intercession, enabling us to pray Boldly for the needs of our church and city. Our collective prayers will serve as a powerful testimony of His love, drawing others into a transformative relationship with Him. Through our unwavering commitment, we will Boldly proclaim God’s glory and declare His truth to the world. (Acts 4:29-31)
A Church who Worships
Biblical worship is a heartfelt response to God’s greatness and grace, rooted in both truth and spirit. It transcends mere ritual and engages the entire being—mind, body, and soul—bringing us into a deeper relationship with our Creator. As we gather as a church, our worship is an act of surrender, where we offer our lives as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to Him (Romans 12:1). Through reverent adoration, we proclaim His holiness and majesty, recognizing His sovereignty in our lives and the world around us. Singing songs of praise, sharing testimonies of His faithfulness, and engaging in prayerful reflection not only honors God but also fosters unity among believers. In worship, we are reminded of our dependence on the Holy Spirit, who inspires and empowers us to glorify God in all that we do (John 4:24).
This communal experience strengthens our faith and propels us into a life of missional living, as we carry the essence of worship into our everyday interactions, demonstrating His love and grace to those around us.
A Spirit-Led Church
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is essential; without it, the Church cannot exist. The Spirit actively calls, convicts, seals, comforts, guides, helps, distributes spiritual gifts, sanctifies, and intercedes for believers. With the Spirit, we are empowered to fulfill God’s purposes. It is crucial that we are distinctly marked by our sensitivity to the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit.(Romans 8:14; Acts 1:8).
A Community Church
Community is at the core of who we are. We actively welcome, love, strengthen, honor, and serve one another according to God’s design for the body of Christ. Our mission is to help each other abide in Jesus, make disciples, and savor life together. We are committed to knowing one another deeply and ensuring that everyone feels truly known and valued within our community.(Ecclesiastes 4:9-12; Romans 12:4-5).
A Church Firmly Rooted in the Gospel
The gospel, meaning "good news," declares that through faith in Jesus, our sins are forgiven, and we receive a new life in Christ. This message is the core of the Bible and the driving force behind every ministry of our church. We are committed to living out the transformational truth of the gospel in every aspect of our hearts and lives. (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
A Missional Church
We are called to live as BOLD witnesses of God, actively engaging in His mission to reconcile the world to Himself. We pray fervently for those who do not know Jesus, equipping ourselves to share the good news confidently. We practice radical hospitality and seek every opportunity to proclaim the gospel to those without a relationship with Him. Additionally, we are committed to promoting the well-being of others and renewing our city by caring for the vulnerable in Jesus’ name. We will be unmistakably marked by a consistent advancement of the gospel in both word and deed throughout our community. (2 Corinthians 5:20; Matthew 28:19-20).
A Sending Church
Jesus commands his followers to make disciples of all nations. We actively pray for unreached people groups, invest financially in international ministries and church planting efforts, and respond to the call to “go.” We are committed to consistently advancing the gospel to the nations and will not waver in our mission.
(Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).
